FAQ

Questions about this tool

Can I start numbering from something other than 1?

Yes — set the Start number field to whatever value you need, useful when this PDF continues the numbering of a printed or previously numbered document.

Can I number only some pages, like a chapter?

Yes, type a range such as "2-10" in the Pages field, or leave it as "all" to number every page in the document.

Will the page numbers cover up my existing content?

The numbers are placed in the margin area at the position and distance from the edge that you choose, so as long as your document has normal margins the numbers won't overlap the main content.

Can I remove page numbers afterward?

This tool adds numbers as part of the page content, so they become a permanent part of the output PDF — keep your original file if you might need an unnumbered version later.
