Questions about this tool
How random is the randomness?
This tool uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's cryptographically secure random number source — a stronger guarantee of unpredictability than the basic Math.random() many simple tools rely on.
How does the team splitter divide people evenly?
It shuffles your full list randomly, then deals names one at a time into each team in turn, so team sizes differ by at most one person when the total doesn't divide evenly.
Can I pick more than one name at once?
The name picker selects one winner at a time — for multiple picks, just click again, or remove the previous winner from your list first if you don't want repeats.
What format should my list be in?
Enter one name or item per line in the text box — blank lines are ignored automatically.
