Practical example
See Check an invoice before sharing it for a worked example and the checks to make before using your result.
Check the arithmetic before sharing
For example, three units at ₹500 and two units at ₹250 give a ₹2,000 subtotal. An agreed ₹200 discount leaves ₹1,800. If the applicable tax rate is 18%, tax is ₹324 and the total is ₹2,124. Enter the discount as an amount; the tool then applies the single tax percentage to the discounted subtotal. These figures illustrate the calculation only. Check which taxes, rates and document details actually apply to your transaction.
Final PDF checklist
- Confirm seller and customer names, addresses, dates, document number and every item description against the underlying order.
- Compare the preview's subtotal, discount, tax and total with your own calculation. A quotation may also need a clear validity date.
- Use Print / Save as PDF, then reopen the saved PDF. Check page breaks, missing lines and unwanted browser headers before sending it.
The editable draft is a JSON file containing the details you entered, including any payment information. Keep it private. This maker does not submit a government e-invoice or validate tax registrations. Read the invoice checking guide for a fuller review process.
