FAQ

Questions about this tool

Are these sizes officially accurate?

The pixel dimensions are calculated directly from each country's published millimeter requirement at 300 DPI print resolution. Always double check your destination country's latest official requirements before submission, since rules can change.

Does this tool crop my face automatically?

It center-crops your photo to the correct aspect ratio. For best results, use a photo where your face is already reasonably centered and takes up a sensible portion of the frame.

What is the print sheet for?

Many photo printing shops charge per print rather than per photo — the 4×6 sheet tiles multiple copies of your passport photo onto one standard print size with thin cut lines, so one print gives you several photos.

This is not official legal or immigration advice, right?

Correct — this tool only helps produce a correctly sized image. Always verify current photo requirements (background color, head position, recency) with the relevant passport or visa authority before submitting.

Prepare a photo for an application

1. Check the photo dimensions and file-size limit stated on your application form. Crop your photo here and download it.

2. Open Image Resizer if the form requires exact pixel dimensions.

3. Use Image Compressor, select Target size and enter the required KB limit. Check the final image and file size before submitting. Each step uses the file you downloaded from the previous step.

Size presets do not guarantee acceptance by an application authority.
