Image Privacy Cleaner
Share the picture, not its original metadata
Rebuild a JPG or PNG from its pixels. Original EXIF, GPS and other source metadata are not copied. Visible names, faces and addresses remain in the picture.

How to get the best result
- Keep your original file and select a copy to work on.
- Choose the output format. JPG replaces transparency with white; PNG keeps transparency but may be larger. Quality only applies to JPG and WebP.
- Preview and inspect the download before sharing. Converting can change colour rendering, quality and file size; a smaller file is not guaranteed.

This is not a PDF redaction tool and does not remove visible personal information. The browser may add basic encoding information to the new file. Review the exported file if your privacy requirements are strict.
What this cleaner can and cannot hide
Imagine a phone photo that contains GPS coordinates in its original metadata and a house number visible in the picture. Creating a clean copy rebuilds the image from pixels, so the original GPS field is not carried over. The house number is still visible because it is part of the pixels. Crop or cover such visible details before creating the clean copy.
Check before sharing
- Open the downloaded copy and look for faces, addresses, screens, reflections and other details in the frame.
- Check the file's properties with a metadata viewer if removing metadata is important to you. This tool does not certify anonymity; the browser may write basic encoding information.
- Choose PNG if you need transparency. JPG fills transparent areas with white and may soften fine detail. Compare the exported image with the original at full size.
Keep the untouched original privately. This tool accepts JPG and PNG images; it does not redact PDFs or remove information already printed in a screenshot. If you only need smaller dimensions, use Image Resizer; resizing alone is not a substitute for reviewing personal details.
